Physiotherapy in Sports and Physical Education

Practical training is conducted at top-level facilities (University Hospitals, Golem Sports Club in Bratislava – the largest in Slovakia!), which participate in the educational process as teaching bases of the Faculty of Health Sciences. Instruction is provided by outstanding lecturers and trainers.

A physiotherapist specializing in sports and physical education performs specialized work activities and focuses on the prevention, diagnosis of musculoskeletal disorders, and the application of physiotherapy methods to individuals who are healthy, weakened, ill, or permanently disabled and who are engaged in elite, performance, or recreational sports.

 

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Master’s degree in Physiotherapy (second level of higher education)
  • Minimum of one year of standard physiotherapy practice
  • During the study period, the applicant must not be enrolled in another specialization program

 

APPLICATION:

  • Application for inclusion in specialization studies (form available on the website of the Faculty of Health Sciences, UCM in Trnava)
  • Master’s degree diploma in Physiotherapy (certified copy, not required for graduates of FZV UCM in Trnava)
  • Proof of at least one year of standard physiotherapy practice (employer’s confirmation)
  • Structured curriculum vitae
  • Sworn statement that the applicant is not enrolled in another specialization program
  • Proof of payment of the admission fee
