Week of Science and Technology FZV 2024
During the week of 04–08.11.2024, the Faculty of Health Sciences at the University of St. Cyril and Methodius in Trnava hosted the Week of Science and Technology 2024, where students had the opportunity to attend lectures such as Technological Innovations in Healthcare, presented by Mgr. Richard Biely, who introduced new technologies currently used mainly abroad.
Dr. Eva Koščová, PhD., MBA, from the Slovak Centre of Scientific and Technical Information (CVTI SR), presented Possibilities of Using Electronic Information Resources of CVTI SR, where students learned how to access and utilize electronic resources from various—mainly foreign—databases. This provided them with new opportunities for finding professional scientific publications as well as academic book sources, which they can use not only when writing their final theses but also in their future scientific activities.
During the week, a workshop titled Demonstration of Diagnostic Devices Focused on Human Motor Skills was also held at the faculty. Mgr. Mgr. Gabriela Kotyrová Štefániková, PhD., provided a practical demonstration of several devices, which students were able to try themselves, such as Witty Sem, Spinal Mouse, the stabilographic platform FiTRO Sway, and Gyko Sport by Microgate.
