The university amateur theater THE.ART.RE was established in 2010. Its founder is Vladimír Frišták. The ensemble allows students from all faculties to develop their talents in roles such as actors, technicians, costume designers, or makeup artists. Currently, the theater is authorially directed by Jakub Kňažka and a creative team of 10 members: Aďka Lizoňová, Alžbeta Labudová, Barbora Martišková, Christián Ďuriš, Dávid Hudák, Klára Zubková, Milan Hoďa, Petra Tarčinská, Petra Tvarožeková, and Samuell Galbavý.
Until recently, the theater rehearsed in the UCM V Jame premises, but it has now moved to the basement of the building at Námestie J. Herdu. The students renovated the space themselves, transforming it into a suitable venue not only for theatrical performances. The collective sees the potential of these underused spaces in a much broader scope and envisions creating a cultural center for the entire university, where, besides theater performances (including those outside the academic scope), films could be screened, smaller concerts held, moderated discussions, improv evenings, presentations, lectures, and much more could take place.
