Campus Trnava and Piešťany

The University of St. Cyril and Methodius in Trnava operates in the historic town of Trnava, where it has its own campus – Campus Trnava. The Faculty of Health Sciences is located in Piešťany. Our campuses consist of several buildings as well as additional cultural and sports facilities, which, although not owned by the university, are available to our students.

Let’s introduce our campuses in Trnava and Piešťany. Both are situated in modern, lively cities.

CITY OF TRNAVA and PIEŠŤANY – The Foundation for Our Campus

Trnava is a regional city located 30 minutes by train from Bratislava. It combines the possibilities of a big city with a pleasant calm ideal for studying, but also offers various forms of entertainment.

It has a rich offer of opportunities, from sports to social and cultural activities, as well as educational and self-development options. The entire city is interconnected by bike paths that lead beyond the city limits. Nearby, you will find the Little Carpathians, where you can go for a breath of fresh air and recharge with a bit of nature.

Besides our university, two other universities are located in the city, which undoubtedly grants Trnava the status of a student city. It’s a stone’s throw from Piešťany, Nitra, Sereď, Senec, and Pezinok. Everything you might not find in Trnava is easily accessible in the surrounding area. It is well connected by train from the east, west, north, and south. Local and long-distance buses also stop here, and the D1 highway passes through Trnava, if you prefer the comfort of your own car. The city is concentrated in the center outside of large housing estates, and everything necessary (and unnecessary) is within walking distance. Although there is a city bus (public transport), it is not expected that you will need it.

Piešťany is a district and spa town located 30 minutes by train from Trnava. It is a city of spas, parks, and a rich social life.

Piešťany is mainly a spa town, the seat of the district, and many scientific institutions. It is an international center for the treatment of rheumatic diseases (National Institute of Rheumatic Diseases) and an important regional center of culture, education, sports, and recreation.

It is a small town where you can get anywhere on foot or by bike. Public transport (MHD Piešťany) is also available.
