Minimálnym základom na prácu fyzioterapeuta by malo byť vzdelanie v odbore. Dôležité je tiež, akým spôsobom sa fyzioterapeut dodatočne vzdeláva, akú má špecializáciu a aké kurzy má absolvované. Fyzioterapeut predsa pracuje so zdravím človeka, ktoré môže pri zásadnej chybe zostať trvalo poškodené.

Už počas školy som robil všetko pre to, aby som mohol byť fyzioterapeut s čo najlepšími praktickými skúsenosťami. Praxoval som v nemocnici, na ortopedickom, neurologickom aj chirurgickom oddelení. Pracoval som tiež v jednom bratislavskom fitnescentre ako hlavný fyzioterapeut. Počas pandémie covidu som si povedal, že vyskúšam ísť cestou vlastnej praxe.

Think about what you enjoy and what you want to do in the future
Before applying to university, it's important to understand what truly interests you and what kind of work you'd like to do in the future.
Reflect on your interests, passions, and career goals. Talk to your parents or family.
You can study full-time or part-time. The part-time form of study is paid.
Choose from the list of study programs
Our university offers a wide range of educational programs in various fields. Review the program offerings and choose the one that best matches your interests and goals.
Come and check us out
Visit us during the Open Days to see our environment and experience the atmosphere of our university. You’ll have the chance to meet teachers, students, and learn more about our programs and student life.
You can also meet us at educational fairs across Slovakia.
Submit your online application
Once you've chosen your preferred study program, submit your online application through our portal (guide for completing the electronic application).
Make sure to fill in all required information and attach all necessary documents.
For the Bachelor's degree programs in Physiotherapy and Radiological Technology, you will also need to submit a medical fitness certificate.
Each faculty sets its own application fee.
There are entrance exams
Prepare for entrance exams, which are part of the admission process at our faculty.
Be ready to demonstrate your abilities and knowledge in areas (list of topics for the entrance exam) relevant to the program.
We’ll also help you prepare for the exams.
Alternatively, you can study the recommended literature.
Whether you have to take an entrance exam or not will be stated for each program – so read carefully.
For the Physiotherapy program, physical abilities are tested through a simple athletics test.
Don't forget to submit all required documents
To process your application and enroll you in the study program, make sure you’ve submitted all required documents, such as your school-leaving certificate, dormitory application, etc.
You also need to submit a certificate of medical fitness.
The full list of required documents will be in the letter from the study department.
Meeting deadlines and submitting complete documentation is crucial for successful admission.
Come to enroll
After successfully passing the admission process and being accepted, come to enroll in person (or send someone with a power of attorney). Dates will be announced on the website and sent to your email. We look forward to welcoming you into our academic community!
Important information
Since our study programs require physical fitness, additional medical certificates must be submitted for certain programs.

In addition, for the Physiotherapy program, applicants must undergo a physical fitness assessment through a sports test, which is manageable with good physical condition.

As part of the admission process, it is also necessary to take a test held on our premises. You can find the list of topics and recommended literature for preparation below.
What if the entrance exams don’t go well
Some study programs require entrance exams, and they don’t always go as planned.
We understand that entrance exams can be challenging, but don’t worry. If you don’t pass, you still have a chance to study at UCM. You can apply for reconsideration through an appeal, where your application will be reviewed again, or consider other study options or a different program. You might also try studying part-time.
But we believe you’ll succeed in the exams and won’t need this information.
