The faculty is managed by a dean, who is appointed for a four-year term and dismissed by the rector. He manages it and represents it externally. He is responsible for his activities to the academic senate of the faculty.
The dean is represented by vice-deans to the extent determined by a special decision of the dean. The method of appointment, legal status, legal definition of competencies and scope of the dean are regulated by the relevant provisions of the Act on Higher Education and the Statute of the FZV.
The dean is responsible to the rector of UCM for his activities in matters in which he acts on behalf of UCM, for the management of the faculty and for his other activities to the extent determined by special internal regulations of UCM.
The Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences of the University of St. Cyril and Methodius in Trnava was appointed by the Rector of UCM, with effect from September 1, 2024, Dr. h. c. MUDr. Juraj Štofko, PhD., MBA, MPH, univ.doc.
